Eatertainment Venues 4.0

Eatertainment Venues 4.0 is developing and managing the next generation of dining + experience = eatertainment destination venues where people can socialize, learn and have fun while enjoying food and beverage.

Eatertainment Venues 4.0 is taking its facilities far beyond present-generation eatertainment by hitting the sweet spot within the four realms of experience. Yes, it will stage entertainment through the people-watching that people love so much as well as engaging entertainment experiences – but it is going beyond that to stage the educational, such as developmentally appropriate activities for children and support for mothers that enriches their lives; the escapist, enabling young families to go from their homes to a new place filled with activities where they can have fun together; and the esthetic, a pleasing social environment where people will want to come to again and again to hang out. And it is staging the experiences in a way that will appeal to the authenticity that consumers desire today. In short, Entertainment Venues 4.0 is creating great venues for people to enjoy (food and entertainment), to learn (educational), to go and do (escapist), and to just be (esthetic).

The Company brings together the principals of four highly successful companies with the shared vision of taking eatertainment to the next level:

  • Joe Pine who is an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and management advisor and co-founder of Strategic Horizons LLP, which helps businesses conceive and design new ways of adding value to their economic offerings. Mr. Pine's latest book is Authenticity: What Consumers Really Want, which recognizes that in a world of increasingly paid-for experiences, people no longer accept the fake from the phony, but want the real from the genuine. He also wrote the award-winning Mass Customization: The New Frontier in Business Competition and co-wrote the best-selling The Experience Economy: Work Is Theatre & Every Business a Stage.
  • The principals of PB&J Restaurants with a 26-year track record of successfully developing and operating restaurants throughout the Midwest include Yia Yia Euro Bistro's, YaHooz, Grand Street Café, Red Robin restaurants, Union Station Bistro, Harvey House Diner, as well as managing food service for institutions.
  • Randy White, the owner of White Hutchinson Leisure & Learning Group, Inc., a 25-year-old company with worldwide recognition in the feasibility, design and production of location-based family and children's entertainment, eatertainment and edutainment venues.
  • Mark Dehner, an experienced real estate developer and owner of Land as Art, LLC, a real estate development company formed to develop experience-based destinations.

Eatertaiment Venues 4.0 is currently in the process of rolling out our first concept:

Good Nature Café
7,600 - 9,000 square foot café that beyond any other venue will hit the sweet spot for engaging what is an almost completely neglected market, providing a true third place for at-home moms. The concept targets white-collar mothers with preschool children during the weekday and offers birthday parties on weekends. It also includes a separate public restaurant. 280,000+ annual attendance.

We are also seeking relationships with shopping center and mall developers to offer turn-key design and management for larger eatertainment venues that combine destination dining with different types of entertainment, including bowling, family-centered venues, and children’s edutainment and play. All are ideally suited to anchor, as well as to reposition and turnaround distressed shopping centers and malls. We will customize the venues to fit both the market and the shopping center’s mix and positioning. The venues may vary in size from 15,000 to 150,000 square feet.
